The Alkaline and Acidic Body

Our bodies are formed marvelously by our Creator. The value we place on it will be seen in our lives.  It can be shown on our skin, it can be felt in our bodies.

Our bodies are built up from the food we eat. There is a constant breaking down of the tissues of the body; every movement of every organ involves waste, and this waste is repaired from our food. Each organ of the body requires its share of nutrition. The brain must be supplied with its portion; the bones, muscles, and nerves demand theirs. It is a wonderful process that transforms the food into blood and uses this blood to build up the varied parts of the body; but this process is going on continually, supplying with life and strength each nerve, muscle, and tissue. Counsels for the Church, 221.

All that we have and are, we owe to God.

​When our bodies are acidic, they are vulnerable to diseases. It can also cause acidity in our urine.
When it is alkaline, however, disease will come never come our way.

I like the way God has made us, and it gives me confidence that the word He says in Deuteronomy 7:15 is true. I will quote it here: “And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.”

Explaining acid or alkaline scale

A pH of 0 indicates a high level of acidity
A pH of 7 is neutral
A pH of 14 is the most basic, or alkaline.

Acidic foods

Some fruits such as cantaloupe, cranberries, grapes, some nuts and seeds such as almond, brazil nuts, hazel nuts.  Other research can be done to show what foods are acidic. These foods should be limited in the diet. This shows the validity of the law of temperance in the diet.

Alkaline foods

Most vegetables are alkaline. For me it shows that indeed vegetables are for the healing of the nation.
Avocado
Broccoli
Cabbage
Celery
Cucumber
Endive
Garlic
Grasses (alfalfa, kamut, straw, shave, wheatgrass, etc.)
Kale
Parsley
Sprouts (alfalfa, bean, pea, soy, etc.)
Spinach
Tomato
Soy Nuts. . .
(soaked soybeans, then air-dried)

With the cooperation of the human and divine we can prepare healthy foods that will keep us away from diseases.

God says in 3 John 1:2 KJVS
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
